From the early days of U.S. military governance to the establishment of bases like Fort Buchanan and Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico has played a strategic role in American defense. Over the decades, thousands of Puerto Ricans have served with distinction in every major U.S. conflict—from World War I to Afghanistan—earning honors and shaping a legacy of patriotism and resilience. In recent months, Puerto Rico has once again welcomed a growing number of service members returning to the island as part of expanded regional operations. While official counts aren’t publicly released, reports confirm that thousands of active‑duty personnel are currently stationed or rotating through Puerto Rico, reinforcing the island’s long‑standing role in national security. For many, this return represents both a mission and a homecoming — and we are honored to support them.
