Owner & Operator – Isla Provisions
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Ramón has deep roots on the island and a lifelong connection to the water—surfing, fishing, and embracing the rhythms of his culture and community. In his early years, he spent time on his family ranch, helping to build what would become one of Puerto Rico’s most visited tourist destinations. That experience gave him firsthand insight into entrepreneurship and the art of guest service.
His love for the ocean eventually guided his career from professional fishing and surfing into yachting, where he served as a captain and engineer aboard both private and charter vessels. Through his work in vessel operations, logistics, and hospitality, Ramón deepened his understanding of the unique needs of travelers, crews, and hosts across the industry.
Today, he sees a clear opportunity: a concierge-style provisioning service designed for vacationers of the East Coast of Puerto Rico. Focused on convenience, quality, and local sourcing, Isla Provisions delivers carefully curated groceries, essentials, and specialty items—tailored to the demands of both island visitors and private and charter yachts. Under Ramón’s leadership, the company reflects the warmth, precision, and pride of Puerto Rican hospitality, with a steadfast commitment to service and sustainability.
Chef Kathryn Prestera
Co-owner & Purchasing
Born in Florida, Kathryn began her hospitality career in kitchens, working her way up through fast-paced line cook roles and managing high-profile events before joining the yachting industry.
She specializes in sourcing fresh, local ingredients and creating tailored menus that meet the highest guest standards while minimizing waste.
Now based in Puerto Rico, Kathryn brings her dedication to Isla Provisions by proving her professional private culinary and provisioning services and personally curating goods for the website that offer convenience, lower carbon footprint and deliver authentic flavors of the island.
Madelyn Moore
Florist and Packaging & Delivery Managment
Madelyn brings her creativity and organizational skills to Isla Provisions through her work in floral design, packaging, and delivery management. With a background in hospitality and an eye for detail, she ensures that every order is prepared with care and presented beautifully.
Her role is focused on making sure each product reaches clients in perfect condition — from thoughtful packaging to timely delivery — while also adding a personal touch that reflects the quality and warmth of Isla Provisions.
